Students In Class Monday
Dade County
schools will be in session Feb. 18.
Due to several
weather make-up days the Dade County Board of Education has decided to use the
Presidents’ Day holiday as a make–up day for students.
The original
2012-13 school calendar had students receiving Presidents’ Day off but that day
will now be used to make up one of the days missed because of bad weather.
DCHS Hosting Workshop
Georgia Student
Finance Commission's Ben Meadows will be at Dade County High School Feb. 14th
speaking on financial aid and scholarships and will present a Powerpoint on
filling out the FAFSA form.
All DCHS
seniors and juniors and their parents/guardians are urged to attend. Parents of
sophomores and freshmen are invited to attend as well.
This meeting
begins at 6 p.m. in the DCHS auditorium.

Star Gazing Is Tomorrow
Dade’s favorite
amateur astronomer, Ned Smith, will bring his StarGaze project back to the
Courthouse Square Thursday at 6:30 p.m., weather permitting.
The public is
invited to bundle up and come out for a free peek through one of Smith’s
powerful telescopes.
Blood Drive Is Feb. 27th
The Dade County
Sheriff’s office is hosting the Bloodmobile Feb. 27 from 10:15 a.m. until 12:30
p.m. and from 1:30-4 p.m.
The Bloodmobile
will be parked in Veterans Park on the Courthouse Square.
